An introduction to plant drawing exploring style and techniques and plant identification. Participants must provide paper/sketchbook and drawing equipment. Run by a practicing artist and experienced youth worker these ten-week workshop courses provides an opportunity to learn about fine art and botanical illustration at a theoretical and practical level. The courses are aimed at children and young people who want learn new art skills or augment their school work.

Beginners / General Interest

Monday's 1.30 to 3.00pm

Participants must provide paper/sketchbook and basic drawing equipment. Eco-friendly class, local plants used.

Young People's Drawing and Painting Course for 13 - 18 years
Tuesday's 4.30 to 6.00pm
available for booking now: 30 September - 9 December 2008

An exciting course introducing young people to the principals and practices of drawing and painting in a fine art environment. Techniques, skills and knowledge is taught covering a range of subject matter. Visits to galleries arranged. Information about the working life of an artist and potentially an exhibition opportunity. Students can register for a ten-week term but are advised to continue throughout the academic year. Small groups with an informal atmosphere and inclusive learning, Taught by Alison Day, an experienced teacher and practitioner. Participants must provide paper/sketchbook and basic drawing equipment.
