THE NEW CROSS ART PRIZE
New Cross Art Prize - logo

The New Cross Art Prize is an art competition which aims to celebrate the artistic diversity of New Cross and New Cross Gate and to open a channel for collaboration and co-operation between artists of all kinds in the area. This is an exhibition of the short-listed and winning artists' entries.

The prize is open to people of all ages (adults and children) and artistic types and proficiencies who live, work or study in New Cross or New Cross Gate. The works represent all types of visual art  and have been inspired or informed by the experience of living/working/studying in New Cross or New Cross Gate.

More than £1,000 in prizes is available to winning entrants with a first prize of £500 in the adults' category and £150 worth of vouchers for Cowling & Wilcox Ltd art supplies shop for the winner of the children's category.

The prize and the exhibition are non-profit events which have been organised by two students from New Cross Gate, Paula Salischiker and Alexander Hawthorne, with the financial support of social entrepreneurs support group UnLtd. For further information email: info@newcrossartprize.co.uk
