Julia McNeal makes print-on-clay works, often resembling newspapers or other fragments of everyday texts. The idea is a kind of ‘archaeology of the present’.

McNeal trained at the John Cass School of Art (London Guildhall University) and with the City Lit Ceramics Diploma course.  She has exhibited regularly since 1995, and from 1999 has shown with four four artists at the Affordable Art Fair in London and New York.
