| 35mm Black and White Analogue Photography - a crash-course for men, women and young people | |||
| Run by a practicing photographer, this crash-course workshop provides an opportunity to learn about SLR photography on a theoretical and practical level. The course is aimed at beginners and people who would like to update their existing knowledge. Taught in the photographer's studio participants get an opportunity to take photographs, develop their films and learn how to print an image using wet darkroom techniques. All work is shot using 35mm film and analogue cameras. To take part you will need to bring a camera and a film with you. For enrolment details contact Alison at the Lewisham Arthouse. | |||

| Black and White SLR 35mm Photography Course - women only | |||
This ten-week workshop course provides an opportunity to learn about 35mm SLR photography and darkroom printing practices both at a theoretical and a practical level. Students acquire both practical skills, broaden their knowledge of the London Art Scene and gain an insight into the theoretical concerns of contemporary photography. Level One runs Wednesdays 6.30 – 8.00 p.m. Level Two runs Thursdays same times. Courses begin 1st October and 2nd October and run until 10th and 12th December 2008. Both courses run throughout the academic year and students are encouraged to continue to the following term. Small groups, informal atmosphere, inclusive learning, Taught by Alison Day, an experienced teacher and practitioner. To take part students must have own camera, purchase film and paper, all other materials and equipment provided. |
