Townly Cooke was born and lives in Greenwich. He studied at The Slade School of Fine Art, University of London, Film and Video at Middlesex Polytechnic and Art Education at Goldsmiths College, University of London.
Cooke has exhibited widely - including the Serpentine Gallery, National Portrait Gallery, Woodlands Art Gallery, Musuem of London, Lewisham Arthouse, OXO Tower Wharf Gallery and Photokina, Cologne.
